Scott Seidman Reviews U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on Prayer at Local Government Meetings

Scott Seidman had an article in the November 2014 issue of the Oregon Civil Rights Newsletter, published by the Oregon State Bar Civil Rights Section. In his article, “Prayer at Local Government Meetings After Town of Greece,” Scott reviews the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Town of Greece v. Galloway and discusses its possible repercussions. The court found that the Town of Greece, New York had not violated the First Amendment’s establishment clause by opening town meetings with prayers that had almost exclusively Christian content.
