Coaching New Lawyers on Business Law Fundamentals

Business lawyer James Hein and litigator Caroline Harris Crowne were presenters at the Oregon State Bar’s annual SuperSaturday CLE (Continuing Legal Education) event on October 25, 2014. Hosted by the Oregon New Lawyers Division of the OSB, the day-long event provides a variety of programs to help new lawyers earn required CLE credits.

Hein presented an hour-long program on business entity formation and structure. In Harris Crowne’s presentation, she explained how to investigate and analyze a potential claim in a business dispute.

Hein practices in the firm’s business law, M&A and corporate finance groups, where he focuses on counseling clients in all stages of business growth including initial business formation. Harris Crowne’s practice focuses on commercial contracts, business owner disputes, and forensic accounting issues. She represents clients in federal and state courts, before judges, juries, and arbitrators.
