Twenty-three Tonkon Torp attorneys in 11 practice areas have been named to the national 2014 Super Lawyers or Rising Stars lists, including three partners who are recognized on the Oregon Top 50 list, lawyers rated most highly by their peers statewide. Bankruptcy authority Albert Kennedy and commercial litigator Daniel Skerritt were again named to the Top 50 list, while Intellectual Property attorney David Aman joins them in the Top 50 for the first time.
While most of the attorneys have earned Super Lawyer designation previously, a new addition to the Super Lawyers list this year is litigator Paul Conable.
Three of Tonkon Torp’s 2014 Rising Stars – lawyers under age 40 – have appeared on the list previously: business litigators Ryan Bledsoe, Caroline Harris Crowne and Anna Sortun. New Rising Stars this year are business litigator Chris Pallanch and corporate lawyer Drea Schmidt.
Super Lawyers are selected through a process that identifies outstanding lawyers in dozens of practice areas. Factors considered in the nomination and peer evaluation of potential Super Lawyers include education and employment background, experience, representative clients, pro bono and community service, and honors and awards.
