
Marco is a general business lawyer with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and a range of other business matters. He has significant experience advising clients with respect to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, entity structure, shareholder agreements and general contract negotiation.
Marco's experience includes advising clients in the manufacturing, energy, retail, financial services and nonprofit industries.
Prior to joining Tonkon Torp, Marco worked in London (and briefly in Hong Kong) for Herbert Smith LLP, a large international law firm. There, he represented corporate clients and investment banks in a wide range of business transactions including public and private securities offerings, M&A and debt refinancing. Marco gained two years of business law experience with the Portland office of Perkins Coie before moving to London.
Marco was a 2005 graduate of UCLA School of Law. He worked as a legal intern for the American Civil Liberties Union, was a teaching fellow and he taught legal principles to high schools students through the LeBouf Scholar program.
Marco is highly proficient in Spanish and Italian. In his free time he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, soccer, and spending time with his family.
