Robyn also has significant federal securities litigation experience and, in addition to her appellate and motions practice, continues to represent clients at the trial level in securities matters and other complex commercial litigation matters. Robyn began developing her appellate skills as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John M. Steadman of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals from 1999-2000. Robyn’s appellate experience at Tonkon Torp includes: · Appellate work for American Industries, Costco, Gunderson, Portland General Electric, and Stimson Lumber Company · Appellate work on several bankruptcy cases, including for the Tort Claimants Committee in the Archdiocese of Portland bankruptcy · Submission of an amicus curiae brief to the Oregon Supreme Court on behalf of the Oregon Business Association in Clarke v. OHSU Some examples of Robyn's litigation experience at Tonkon Torp at the trial level include: · Representing a former officer and director of · Representing Pepsi in a substantial contract dispute with the City of Albany · Representing a former officer and director of Enron Corp. in SEC, FBI, and congressional investigations, and in shareholder actions Robyn participates in a variety of professional legal organizations, including Oregon Women Lawyers. She also actively engages in Bar service, including currently serving on the 2011 Executive Committee of the Appellate Practice Section of the Oregon State Bar; the Bar's Legal Heritage Interest Group; and as a Region 5 Delegate to the Bar's House of Delegates.
