Biography:

Paul has a wide-ranging litigation practice representing both businesses and individuals in a variety of cases. He has represented companies, directors and officers in class actions, government investigations, fiduciary duty, and environmental matters.

 

Paul's recent and ongoing litigation matters include:

 

·      Winning a multi-million dollar federal court jury trial arising out of the termination of a distribution agreement (Tinn v. Emm Labs, Inc., Case No. USDC CV07-963);
 
·      Representing an Oregon timber company in a multi-million dollar lawsuit to recover costs of an environmental cleanup from a prior owner who contaminated a mill site in Montana.
 
·      Representing an Oregon Port and County in a dispute with the Army Corps of Engineers over construction of a barge dock in the Columbia River;
 

·      Representing an international beverage company in a multi-million dollar lawsuit brought by a municipality arising out of the cancellation of a development agreement.

 

Paul was selected for inclusion in 2010 and 2011 Best Lawyers®. Before joining Tonkon Torp, Paul was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Susan P. Graber at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable R. William Riggs at the Oregon Supreme Court and Oregon Court of Appeals.
