Biography:

In her labor and employment practice, Krista represents and advises employers on a wide range of issues including defending them against claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and unpaid minimum wage and overtime issues.  Krista has significant experience representing clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries and U.S. Department of Labor.  She also is experienced in drafting and enforcing employment contracts, non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements.

Traditional labor law is a key part of Krista’s practice. She represents employers on issues requiring investigation and response to unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board and the Oregon Employment Relations Board. She assists employers with collective bargaining negotiations and union campaigns, and with arbitration grievances involving employee discharges and contract interpretation issues. Her interest in labor law began when she interned with a nationally known labor arbitrator during law school. Prior to law school, Krista worked as a fraud investigator.
