Biography:
Ned has practiced law with Tonkon Torp since 1984, and has been a partner since 1991. He has a commercial litigation practice, with particular emphasis on complex contract, construction and real property disputes. He currently serves as chair of Tonkon Torp's Litigation Department.
Ned appears frequently in state and federal courts, handling both bench and jury trials, and also has an active mediation and arbitration practice.
Ned's clients include such major companies as NIKE, for whom he obtained a federal jury verdict of $1 million in one complex breach of warranty case, and an arbitration award of $3.3 million in another.
In his leisure time, Ned enjoys relaxing with his wife and two daughters, working on their 1893 Victorian home and their Olympic Peninsula cabin, travel, volleyball, skiing, hiking and camping.

- Galvanizers – defended galvanizing supplier in state court litigation arising out of defective highway bridge parts, resulting in favorable mediated settlement
- Gorge Leasing – represented commercial landlord in federal court case regarding disputed rental rate applicable to renewal lease term
- JBO Properties – obtained judicial dissolution of deadlocked real estate limited liability company in bench trial
- JSH Farms – represented tenant farmer in agricultural lease dispute, and obtained $1.6 million arbitration award for disputed capital improvements
- Metro Metals Northwest – represented employer in obtaining injunctive relief against former employee to freeze embezzled funds
- Pacific Ethanol – represented major ethanol refiner in construction and contract disputes
- Snyder – represented Washington property owner in defending easement claim based on 1933 deed
