Biography:

Blerina Kotori’s practice focuses on labor and employment law.  She advises and represents employers in various matters, including discrimination, retaliation, FMLA/OFLA, wage and hour, harassment, non-competition, and employment benefits.  Blerina further specializes on data privacy and security and assists companies with dealing with data security breaches.  In addition to labor and employment law, Blerina's practice includes litigation with emphasis on antitrust, business torts, non-competition disputes, and fiduciary duties.

 

Recent accomplishments include trying to a favorable jury verdict a non-competition and fiduciary duty case, trying to a favorable judicial decision a trade secret and non-competition case, preparing antitrust cases for trial, litigating wage and hour class actions, and winning summary judgment on defamation and tortious interference claims.

 

Blerina is a frequent speaker on labor an employment issues, including HIPAA and employment benefits, as well as on privacy and electronic discovery issues.

 

Blerina previously worked at Tonkon Torp as a summer associate.  She is the first Tonkon Torp associate to receive the Moe M. Tonkon and Frederick Torp Scholarship.  She graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School cum laude and earned a B.A. from Reed College with commendation for excellence.  In her free time, Blerina likes to spend time with her family, cook, dance, and travel.
