Biography:

Adam is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department.  A 2010 graduate of Hastings College of Law at the University of California, Adam graduated with highest honors, served on the Hastings Law Journal, and was a member of the distinguished Thurston Society.  He gained valuable legal experience as a summer associate at Tonkon Torp and at Latham & Watkins LLP.  Adam served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marilyn Hall Patel, United States District Court, Northern District of California in 2008 and as a law clerk in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorneys' Office for the Northern District of California in 2007.

Before beginning his law studies, Adam worked for two years in the contracts department of Chronicle Books LLC, a high-end publishing company in San Francisco.  There he negotiated and drafted employment, licensing, and permissions contracts, and handled intellectual property matters including fair use, trademark, and copyright law.

A Portland native, Adam graduated from Jesuit High School before attending Santa Clara University, where he earned a degree with great honors in English, ran on the NCAA Cross Country team, and volunteered in the Santa Clara Community Action Program.

Outside of the office, Adam enjoys mountaineering, hiking, bicycling, and reading.  He has cycled the length of Highway 1 from Portland to Mexico.
