Josh Kardon has affiliated with Tonkon Torp Policy Group LLC as a Senior Advisor. Kardon will provide government relations and communications counsel to existing and new Tonkon Torp clients. Separate from his work with Tonkon Torp, Kardon's consulting firm, Grant Park Strategies LLC, will provide political services to Senator Ron Wyden's reelection campaign and other clients.

Kardon worked for Senator and former Congressman Wyden since 1992, serving as Chief of Staff since 1994. Based out of Senator Wyden's Portland office since 2002, he has handled a full range of federal issues affecting Oregon, from taxation and health care to energy, natural resources and trade.

Kardon earned a B.A. and J.D. from the University of North Carolina. He went to Washington, DC in 1989 as a Dean John A. Knauss Fellow through the Commerce Department, and then ran the Washington, D.C. office for former Congresswoman, now Senator, Barbara Boxer of California.

"Josh is extraordinarily skilled and experienced in all facets of government policymaking and he will be a great fit with Tonkon Torp's practice, culture and philosophy," said Mark L. Cushing, Chair of Tonkon Torp's Government Relations and Public Policy practice group. "I cannot think of a single major policy issue involving Oregon over the past 15 years - at the federal, state or regional level - in which Josh has not played a key role. We are delighted he has chosen to work with our firm."
