Tonkon Torp water law attorney Peter Mohr gave a presentation and was a panelist at the annual meeting of the Western Center for Risk Management in Palm Desert, California on January 13th and 14th. The topics he addressed included:

• state level regulation of surface and ground water throughout the western United States;
• implications of increased federal regulation on water use and ownership;
• increasing concerns of scarcity related to growing domestic and municipal demands; and,
• how all of these factors must be considered as large and small farming operations consider future management their water interests.
